How to Qualify for
National Festival
1. The State Champion is
automatically qualified, BUT MUST
register by April 10, 2012.
2. Each State may send their State Champion and 3 other teams to
their Regional.
3. Each Regional competition will qualify 5 teams not already
qualified to come.
4. They MUST be registered by May 6, 2012! If your Regional
competition is after that date, the Regional Coordinator must let the
National Festival Coordinator know ASAP. Note, if this is the date of
your Regional meet we ask that you please register on site.
5. “At large” Invites from committee will then begin starting
Monday, May 7. If you were close to qualifying, you may receive a call
and your team will need to answer yes or no on the spot.
6. If a state has more than 100 Teams they may send 5 teams to
Regionals. Their 5th place team might possibly be looked at for an at
large bid. They can only qualify up to 3 teams to Nationals (plus their
state champion) but as we look at “at large bids” we would look at them.
7. If a state has 150 teams then they can send 6 teams to
Regionals. At Regionals they can only qualify up to 3 teams (plus their
state champion) to Nationals, but then their other two teams could get
looked at for an at large bid.
